Teacher Training Tracks

Lahiri School of Yoga now offers two tracks for aspiring yogis and yoginis to become Certified Yoga Teachers. Click on the names for a more comprehensive description.

Intensive Teacher Training

Our Intensive track is 210 hours of in-depth study to prepare you for certification in two very full weeks. Studies include:

• Asana & Technique: (100 hours)
• Teaching Methodology: (20 hours)
• Philosophy & Yoga Lifestyle: (20 hours)
• Practicum: (20 hours)
• Balance of Hours: (30 hours)
• Anatomy & Physiology: (20 hours)

LSY Intensive Teacher Training Materials Include:

• 400 page Curriculum Manual
• 200 extra pages for anatomy section (received only if you take our anatomy course)
• Personalized mentoring
• Sanskrit pronunciation CD and book
• Personal homework assessment/evaluation
• All yoga styles classes
• 210 hour Yoga Teacher Certification upon completion of the homework

Apprenticeship Immersion Track

LSY's new Apprenticeship program is designed for those who want to go deeper than the average teacher training program. Since this training track is far more personalized, we hope that existing students & student-friends will apply, while we also joyfully welcome those of you who have studied with a devoted (single) teacher for a while.

Our Apprenticeship Immersion track is 230 hours of in-depth study to prepare you for certification in two very full weeks. Studies include:

• Asana & Technique: (105 hours)
• Teaching Methodology: (25 hours)
• Philosophy & Yoga Lifestyle: (25 hours)
• Practicum: (20 hours)
• Balance of Hours: (35 hours)
• Anatomy & Physiology: (20 hours)

LSY AI Teacher Training Materials Include:

• 400 page Curriculum Manual
• 200 extra pages for anatomy section (received only if you take our anatomy course)
• Many additional class hand-outs that are essential to the “immersion” essence
• Several additional classroom/home reading sections from select books & authors
• Longer immersion w/each subject studied
• A deeper, more specifically tailored study of the subjects that changes w/each class
